Great apartment and pool! Would highly recommend! Would be helpful to have a few essentials: salt, pepper, dish cloth, dish sponge, olive oil, dish-washing liquid.

Very quiet and peaceful but with a select couple of really good places to eat and drink nearby.
It was our first holiday abroad as an extended family, so we had a variety of requirements, but the apartment and the location met or exceeded them all. We were surprised by how spacious the apartment was, which gave room for some privacy as well as spending time together. We made the right choice with the penthouse as the outside space at opposite sides meant that we could chase or avoid the sun and eat outside for most meals taken in house. The staff in the reception, around the pool and in the restaurant, were attentive and helpful at all times, although we didn’t directly need them very much as everything was self explanatory. The walk to the ferry port was a little longer than we expected but that was probably because we were walking at the pace of a 3 year old. We loved Maccagno, so peaceful, yet everything you need is there. Now that our granddaughter has left, the gelateria has probably had to restock! A couple of points about the apartment, which are not criticisms in any way, would be that we would have liked more pillows available but this is purely personal preference. I was not sure whether this kind of thing would fall to the management company as the apartment is privately owned, and it was not enough of an issue to make it worth waiting at the complex for the 10-12 opening hours of the office. Also for information, the freezer is in need of defrosting in the apartment. It is so iced up the capacity is much reduced. We could not find an ice cube tray in the drawers and it is possible there is one iced into the build up in the freezer, but not visible. We did get delayed on the return journey by the air traffic control strike in France, but not too badly and that is totally beyond your control! Again thank you for a great holiday enjoyed by all in the party. We would be happy to return. I think if the apartment (and the funds) had been available, the family would have bought it on the spot!
We had a great week at Golfo Gabella. The apartment was perfect for what we wanted and the resort is very well looked after. My only comments would be: a) There doesn’t appear to be any cooking dishes that can go in the oven or a grill pan. b) There is no bin in the kitchen for general rubbish. We were made aware of the strict recycling procedure on arrival, which was no problem as used to it at home, but we had to get bags for the rubbish. c) A list of the few things that are provided e.g hair dryer, hand wash, starter cleaning pack (dishcloth, tea towel, 1 dishwasher tablet) might be useful before arrival. These are just some minor points as we had a wonderful time.
Just to let you know we had a fantastic holiday, Lake Maggiore was absolutely stunning & we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The apartments I can’t rate highly enough. Laura & the English student in the office were very friendly. We arrived when the reception was closed so we had a text with the safe code to collect our keys, & we had a welcome letter, map etc which was very helpful. Both apartments were immaculately clean, the two bed penthouse was lacking any tumbler glasses, we mentioned this, however it was not actioned, it did not affect us greatly as we then moved to the 3 bed. This apartment had loads of crockery, glasses etc, & a new coffee maker, we were very comfortable! The apartment location is great. The jacuzzi & the pool however could definitely be a little warmer, the baby pool was extremely warm, the loungers & area around the pool were very pleasant & great to overlook the lake too. The restaurant on the complex was very expensive, however the service was very friendly & a nice ambience. We would thoroughly recommend our holiday to friends & family & will not hesitate to recommend Bookings For You. Everything was perfect! The apartment was very nice and clean! The people from reception also were very nice and helped us in all cases! All people were really helpful and sympathetic! Just back from our holiday in Golfo Gabella and it was really lovely, Thank you for everything. The apartment was beautiful and suited our family perfectly. It is a lovely complex and very well laid out. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this complex to anyone wishing to holiday in that area of Italy. The train system was great once we got familiar. Reception very kindly allowed us a late check out as the apartment was not booked after us. This made our day very comfortable indeed as our flight was at 10pm. The pools were much too cold unfortunately to use although the setting was heavenly. The hot tub was well utilised by our grandson!! He was very happy having it all to himself.​ We found the locals helpful although we had no Italian and most had little or no English. You were very helpful along with the girls (Laura & Liz) at the reception. The use of washer and dryer for free is a very nice touch. I am very glad to have stumbled upon your site and may well revisit in the future.
