The property has beautiful wooden floors throughout. A note from Jo
I love this property. Florence is my favourite city in Italy. Ever since I fell in love with the film 'A room with a view' when I was a child, Florence has held a real magic for me. And this house really is the perfect base. It has a cosiness and charm to it that means you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. It also feels incredibly authentic allowing you to live like a local. And, whilst all the main sights and attractions can be reached on foot, when you retire at night, you're away from the hustle and bustle in a peaceful, quiet neighbourhood filled with locals.
The house and introduction to it was excellent. We had a great holiday in Florence, and the house & location was a key part to it. Thank you very much for having us.
We were delighted with the house, the decor was lovely and the house was even nicer than shown in the photos. It was a good 20/25 minute walk into the centre of town so a bit of a stretch to walk all the time but it was lovely to escape the crowds in the centre and retreat to a lovely accommodation. Our dealings with Jo in making our booking and with the owner on arrival was all very straight forward and we would happily use them again. The only downside was the mosquito’s in the house.
Just arrived home and I can say we had a wonderful time – the apartment was in a fantastic location and everything was as described. Couple of points were that the girl who showed us round took money for electric but then forgot about it (no big issue but just to let you know) and the shower in the main bathroom could do with a descale. I must finish by thanking you for your services and if we go back to Florence we will definitely be in touch.
The accommodation is very comfortable and well situated. Would benefit from air con downstairs as well as the bedrooms as it was seriously hot when we were there.
We had a lovely time at Villa Bastioni and the house was beautiful and fully met our expectations. The only thing I would say, was that we felt the gas/electricity charge at the end was rather steep at 80 euros for one week – 50 for gas, 30 for electricity.
Signora Paola and her daughter were very helpful in settling in to Villa Con Giardino in Florence, and the location was wonderful. I am sure that given the opportunity in the future we will happily book through your company again, as everything is straightforward and as advertised.
