A note from Jo
This is a great Umbria vacation apartment, perfect for three adults or for a family with one or two young children. It combines the best that the 21st century offers with the character of an older property. The owner of this Umbria vacation apartment is incredibly warm and welcoming and will do his absolute most to ensure that you have a fantastic holiday in Umbria.
Joanne made our booking experience so easy and her company delivered. We asked for her advice and made our decision based on her feedback . The apartment was as described, a good layout and nice fittings with lovely touches such as the slippers and toiletries – almost perfect but just missing in a few basic kitchen items. It didn’t matter too much – serious cooking wasn’t an issue as food in local restaurants locally was good and generally inexpensive. The pool was lovely and Oscar the owner did everything he could in setting up our trip and special requests before we arrived. Full cleaning mid week was an unexpected bonus although charges for use of laundry and pool towels were not – maybe my fault for not reading all the details. To Oscar’s credit also on a national holiday when other guests arrived from the UK with no food or drink he and his ladies achieved a miraculous shopping trip to an otherwise closed supermarket – can’t imagine this happening anywhere else ever! Thank you Joanne and Oscar we had a great holiday and certainly would come back again.
Oscar was very welcoming the apartment was very clean comfortable and amply equipped. Had the weather been a little more clement the outside area and pool would have been a joy. After sightseeing and playing golf it was a great place to return to. Oscar directed us to a very good shopping area with a good supermarket so self catering was quite easy. All told we had a lovely eight days and would happily return and recommend it to family and friends.
Accommodation was well kitted out and a very good standard for the money. Oscar was also a great host and nothing was too much trouble! A couple of minor points re feedback:
– Recommended list of places to visit eat in the room would be helpful. When Oscar was around he was happy to help so not a big problem
– Some pool maintenance kit was left around pool edge which was a bit of a hazard for kids. Also there was a ”hatch” to pool edge which was not finished to same level as tiles surrounding pool, but instead a metal grid finish which again kids could easily trip on.
Thanks for your help!
