Shopaholics will love the wonderful shops on offer in Central Rome. The principal shopping street is the Via dei Condotti. For shopping on a more realistic budget, steer more towards the Via del Corso instead. This street offers lots of opportunities for cheaper priced shopping, with high street stores in abundance. You’ll also find a couple of department stores in the centre of the city too.
For those keen to ‘bag a bargain’ there are also a couple of outlet malls to choose from just outside the city. Take your pick from the MacArthur Glen outlet at Castel Romano www.mcarthurglen.it and the Valmonte Fashion District www.fashiondistrict.it. Both malls offer designer brands at fraction of their normal prices.
You should also make sure you visit at least one of the markets that the city has to offer. At the Campo Dei Fiori is Rome’s oldest market where you will find an incredible selection of foodstuffs including some of the best fish in the city along with a massive variety of fresh vegetables and fruits.
