Villa Prato is a super, family friendly villa in Tuscany. It can sleep up to 14 guests. Situated on top of a hill in Gaiole in Chianti, it enjoys incredible 360 degree views over the Tuscan countryside. This 400 year old private villa has been impeccably restored and renovated to a high standard to give guests plenty of 21st century comforts.

Accommodation in Villa Prato is split over a main villa and a separate annex. The main house has five double bedrooms. The first of these is on the ground floor and also boasts its own private terrace. The other four bedrooms are upstairs. Here there are three doubles as well as one bedroom furnished with 2 single beds. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with walk in showers.

Also in the main villa at Villa Prato is a fully equipped designer kitchen. This is perfect for cooking up a traditional Tuscan dinner and also works well if you want to arrange a cookery lesson at the villa. A separate laundry room has both a washing machine and dryer. There are two spacious sitting rooms as well as a panoramic dining area. Finally, there is a private gym in the villa, perfect for those who like to exercise whilst on holiday.

The newly completed cottage has two further bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and dressing room. There is also an extra daybed in the cottage which can accommodate one additional child on request. Please ask for more details.

The house offers plenty to entertain all members of the family. There is a billiard room as well as table tennis and table football.

For those staying in the cooler months, Villa Prato has underfloor heating throughout. For those staying in the Summer months, it is fully air conditioned.

Outside, the villa has a heated swimming pool (12 x 6 metres). It is 3 metres at the deepest end. This has a remote controlled electronic safety cover, giving peace of mind to families with younger children. A sunbathing terrace has sun loungers and deckchairs. The garden is extensive covering an area of over 2 hectares.

There is a wood burning pizza oven as well as a BBQ for those that like to cook al fresco. A large courtyard and cocktail terrace is the perfect location to watch the sun set and enjoy each other's company into the early hours. Added evening entertainment is provided by the outdoor movie projector allowing you to watch a film in the gardens.

Villa Prato is situated in the very heart of the Chianti region, less than 10 minutes from Gaiole in Chianti. It is also just 40 minutes from Siena and 80 minutes from Florence. There are a plethora of wineries and charming Medieval villages on your doorstep to enjoy.
